Blackjack Betting Systems

People have devised all sorts of complicated betting systems, trying to beat the game of blackjack. Some such as the well-known Martingale involve increasing your bet size with each loss, while others take a hybrid approach.

Long story short, betting systems don't work. While card counting does give a player an advantage, no amount of increasing or decreasing your bet size in certain situations will help you, in and of itself. If you aren't counting cards, you're always playing at a slight disadvantage to the house, and no betting system in the world can ever change that.

While interesting, don't count on blackjack betting systems to help you make a profit at the tables, as they can never overcome the fact that the house almost always has a slight advantage at the tables.
